April 2010 - Erica Pollock's "City Streets"
Show dates: March 31 - May 2, 2010
Reception for the artist, Friday, April 2, 5-8pm

About her work, the artist states: I focus on
the urban environment as my subject matter, which
is emphasized by the use of light and shadow. In
my most recent work, the interaction between
people, shadow and streets is explored. By
cropping the physical elements, such as people or
cars, the focus of the painting is pulled into
the shadows, exploring the shadows as a reflection of the physical person.

The fifth Art of Friends exhibition will be at
the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca from March

the artists will be held on Saturday, March 27 from 2-4pm.

first decade of the 21st century in the
Post-Decade Exhibition March 5 April 30, 2010
at Ithacas Community School of Music and
Arts. Eva Copabianco, James Spitznagel and Andrea King are in this one.
The Corner Gallery in Ithaca is hosting the 8th
Annual Spring Bouquet Show from 6 March to 30
April with eleven artists including Gallery
members Diane Newton, Patty Porter, and Sheryl Sinkow.
Erica Pollock is also showing work at The Main

Marian Van Soest is exhibiting a retrospective
entitled "From Design to Fine Art" of
landscapes, figures, still life, and abstractions
at Kendal at Ithaca in Ithaca, NY through March 31.
