Five Visions

Dear Friends of the Gallery,

In February, the State of the Art Gallery presents a show called Five 
Visions by State of the Art Photographers. This will be a wide ranging 
collection of different styles and subjects. *Stan Bowman* is revisiting 
his first passion, still photography, but this time in order to show his 
vision of the exciting new century, blurring time and space. *Jan 
Kather* is showing photographically derived work that documents the 
unsettling mix of horror and humor of our time.* Kathy Morris* has 
always been infatuated with multiple images, sequences, and combinations 
of images. *Sheryl Sinkow* chose her photos to share the quiet awe she 
felt while visiting Kenya and Tanzania with the hope they will convey 
the emotional impact she felt and the magic that is Africa.* David 
Watkins* shows examples of three current avenues of exploration: floral 
images isolated from their background; landscapes that have a graphic 
quality; and a few images that represent a more graphic, artistic 
approach to the original image.

    The show will run January 31-February 25, with an opening reception
    on Friday, Feb 2, 5:00-8:00 pm.

*Coming up in March is the ever popular 18th Annual Juried Photography 
Show,* March 2 through April 1,2007. This will showcase current work by 
the region's most exciting photographers. If you are interested in

The Gallery is located at 120 W State St., Ithaca, NY, across from the 
State Theater.
Hours are Wednesday-Friday noon-6:00 pm, and Saturday-Sunday noon-5:00 pm
