Stan Bowman and Elisabeth Gross-Marks

Dear Friends of the Gallery,

During the month of June we are happy to present new work from Stan 
Bowman and Elisabeth Gross-Marks at the State of the Art Gallery. This 
show marks a departure from their previous styles and the emergence of 
some exciting new directions for both artists.

Stan Bowman's work begins with scanned flower images, digitally 
manipulated in Photoshop. His most recent pieces are then printed on 
canvas and shaped into three-dimensional compositions.

Elisabeth Gross-Marks' brilliantly colored abstract paintings have 
evolved into equally colorful collages and free-standing installations. 
"I am interested in putting the colorful shapes in space," she says, 
"where the distance and the connections to each other are important and 
where a playful scene is created."

The show runs through June 25. Join the artists at the opening reception 
on Friday June 2, 5:00-8:00 PM, in conjunction with Ithaca festival events.
