Additional InfoOne of the things necessary to get on the web is a good hosting service for your website. Some possiblities are among Lynne's links above. Another hosting service that has proved very cheap and reliable with excellent service is www.psek.com. They will host a very well equipped site for $7 a month; and they provide automatic installation of several software packages that make it possible to have a gallery or "blog" with very little technical knowledge. In addition, they sell domain name registration -- and their domain name page is a great place to test out names you may be considering for your own domain. Just enter the name and the page will tell you if it is available with a .com, .org, or .net extension.
